SportTuner  finishes are designed to give you years of service. Most coatings will just need to be cleaned with soap and water. We do not recommend using any harsh abrasives or toxic chemicals on the finished areas as this may lead to premature failure of the finish.

     Cerama-Chrome  Coatings will maintain a chrome like appearance until it is heated over 1600 degrees. At which time the finish will fade away. The Ceramic material will stay however the aluminum layer on the outside will begin to break down and dull. This aluminum can be brought back to shine by a few simple steps. First rub a clean piece of Steel Wool on the faded area. Then apply a liquid metal polish (We recommend Wenol in the Red Tube.) to the same area. Use a clean polishing cloth and work in the metal polish then use a clean polishing cloth to polish out the same area and wipe off away the metal polish applied. If you continue to burn off the aluminum exterior over time the finish will no longer be able to be brought back to a shine. However the part will still retain the Heat Soak protection of the ceramic material.
